About Vitamin C
- Exfoliation enhances Vitamin C absorption
- Vitamin C + Vitamin E offers more protection when applied topically
I used to have mainly combination/oily skin, but since giving birth to #3 things have changed. The oily patches on my face (t zone, cheeks and chin) have suddenly gotten extremely dry, not to mention a lovely bit of hyper pigmentation around my nose.
I’ve been using this “scrub” religiously for about a month now and I’m so happy with the results I felt the need to share.
This exfoliant is very creamy and non drying. It’s contains Vitamin C, Amazonian Camu Camu and Shea Butter.
It’s very gentle. The little granules in it are super tiny and aren’t as harsh on your skin as some other scrubs on the market. I’m used to using an apricot scrub and this was nothing like that at all.
I’ve been using my Vitamin E day cream from The Body Shop with this for added moisture and my skin is no longer dry and flaky. The dark marks (hyper pigmentation) around my nose have cleared up and best of all my pores look way smaller. Which in turn has made my skin look way smoother.
On the downside, I have to admit that I thought it was going to smell like oranges and it doesn’t. It has kind of a weird orange cleaning product type smell.
Some people say it’s kind of expensive for the amount of product you’re getting ($20 for 75ml) but The Body Shop always has sales going on. I picked my tube up for $12 during a special promotion.
Definitely going to repurchase this. What’s your favourite Body Shop product?
